About The Brew Radio and How It Was Found

I have hosted and produced several podcasts and radio-style shows, including Spectrum Buddies, What’s Up Waltham, The Morning Escape Show, The Zack Attack Show, and more.

The Brew Radio is an online podcast and 24/7 radio streaming station on Spreaker that officially launched on March 4, 2020.

The name “Brew Radio” has a double meaning. I enjoy hosting morning shows with coffee, while evening shows are often more relaxed and centered around having a few beers with friends. The name reflects both sides of the station’s atmosphere and personality.

For nearly 10 years, I have been active in the virtual world platform Second Life, where I became known for DJing, broadcasting, and community involvement. Every year, Linden Lab hosts the annual Second Life Birthday Bash, celebrating the anniversary of the platform’s launch. The platform has over 1.5 million users and thousands of daily active users.

In 2018, while DJing at the Second Life Birthday Bash, I was approached by the owner of an in-game radio station called Music To Fly By (MTFB Radio). The owner, known in-game as Lukeflywalker Fittinger, appreciated my DJing style and recognized my strong interest in the aviation community within the game. In Second Life, users participated in activities such as flying aircraft, sailing boats, and even engaging in World War II-style combat simulations. He invited me to join MTFB Radio, where I aired my first show on July 3, 2018.

On November 5, 2019, I introduced the idea of creating a podcast centered around growing up with autism and sharing personal life experiences with friends. The concept was so well received that MTFB Radio offered us a separate channel dedicated to continuing the show. That project eventually became Spectrum Buddies. We produced weekly episodes every Tuesday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM EST from my home studio until the show officially ended on June 11, 2024.

The experience and skills I gained while working with MTFB Radio gave me the confidence and foundation needed to launch my own internet radio broadcasting station, which ultimately led to the creation of The Brew Radio.

I would especially like to thank Luke and the entire crew at MTFB Radio. Without them, The Brew Radio and the opportunities it has created would not have been possible.
